James L. Slaton

James L. Slaton of Palacious, Texas, pleaded guilty on June 11, 2007, in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas, Victoria Division, Cause No. 6:06CR00038-001 to mail fraud relating to an oil and gas scheme operating under the name Mariah Resources and El Indio Operating Company, Inc. Slaton was sentenced to 18 months in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, followed by three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $380,000 to investors.
