Charles Scott Goist of Plano was sentenced to 46 years in state prison on Aug. 12 after being convicted on charges stemming from his theft of $1.7 million from investors in a fraudulent real estate scheme.
A Collin County State District Court sentenced Goist to 46 years on each of four counts: theft, money laundering, securities fraud and securing the execution of a document by deception. The sentences will run concurrently.
Goist was indicted on the charges on June 18 in Collin County State District Court.
