From in or about April 2002, to in or about November 2003, William Edward Glass of Austin, Texas directed the sale of investment opportunities. Glass raised approximately $250,000 from an investor. Glass represented to the investor that their money would be placed in various investment opportunities when in reality, Glass used the money for his own personal use. On or about November 4, 2004, Glass pled guilty to a two-count information charging him with a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1341-mail fraud, and a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1343-wire fraud. On April 12, 2005, Galss was sentenced in US District Court for the Western Division of Texas, to 30 months incarceration and 3 years supervised release, ordered to pay restitution of approximately $250,000 and special assessment fees of $200.
