Texas Securities Commissioner John Morgan announced today that Travis J. Iles has been named Deputy Commissioner of the State Securities Board.
Iles joined the State Securities Board in 2001 and for the past six years served as Assistant Director of the Enforcement Division. He also served as a staff attorney in the Enforcement Division and the Inspections & Compliance Division.
“Travis’ professionalism and extensive experience will be of tremendous benefit to the agency as it carries out its important work on behalf of the people of Texas,” Commissioner Morgan said.
Iles has served as a special assistant district attorney in several Texas counties and worked on trial matters in federal law enforcement prosecutions. He has also adjudicated enforcement matters before the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
Iles received his law and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Iowa.
