On May 24, 2001 in the 385th Judicial District Court for Midland County, Texas, Sherry W. Keisling , formerly of Midland and H. Bradley Bertrand , of Blachard, Oklahoma, were ordered to pay $113,000 and $125,000, respectively, to investors in connection with the unlawful sale of securities. The Cause Numbers were: CR-26,153 and 154 in connection with Ms. Keisling's cases and CR-26,158 and 161 in connection with Mr. Bertrand's cases. Both have been placed on ten years probation. The securities that were the subject matter of the criminal action were certificates of viaticated insurance benefits issued by Financial Federated Title & Trust, Inc. and American Benefits Services, Inc. Both companies operated in Florida.
