Ron Lee Moss, Jr. was sentenced on April 8, 2004 to 24 months in federal prison and to pay $540,368.82 in restitution to 27 victims. He was also sentenced to three years of supervised release upon release from prison. On October 29, 2003, Moss plead guilty in U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas, Sherman, to Count One of an Information charging him with securities fraud. Moss was President/CEO of Petromerica Resources, LLC from September, 1999 until February, 2000 and sold, or caused to be sold, interests in oil and gas projects.
