Richard Manuel Martinez: 10 Years Deferred Adjudication

Richard Manuel Martinez of San Antonio,was sentenced to a 10-year term of deferred adjudication on Nov. 9, 2004, in the 144th Judicial District Court of Bexar County, for the offense of securities fraud in the amount of more than $100,000.

Martinez and Oliver Meza had been charged with engaging in securities fraud in connection with the sale of interests in stock-trading clubs known as X-Treme Trading LLP and X-Treme Trading Club, Inc.

Charges against Meza are pending. 

Martinez was ordered to pay restitution of $225,135 to victims of the scheme and to perform 120 hours of community service.
