2011

Kevin Dennis Hays of Euless on June 8 pleaded guilty to selling unregistered securities in connection with an investment scheme perpetrated by Mack Diamond Energy LLC of Hunt County.

The 196th state District Court in Hunt County placed Hays on community supervision for one year and deferred adjudication of his guilt.

Hays cooperated with prosecutors and provided testimony against his nephew, Chad Michael Hays, who was sentenced to 25 years in state prison in April for his role in the Mack Diamond fraud.

Kevin Hays paid full restitution of $9,000 to the one person to whom he sold an investment.

The case was prosecuted by Dale Barron and Travis Iles, attorneys in the enforcement division of the State Securities Board.
