Performs entry-level administrative support for the Enforcement Division of the Texas State Securities Board. Work involves maintaining filing systems, performing internal administrative support work for professional staff, scanning and copying voluminous records, and disseminating information internally as well as to the general public. Experience in clerical or administrative support work. Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. The ability to maintain a professional demeanor that facilitates healthy and cooperative team-work and the capacity to communicate effectively and in a respectful manner. Must be able to kneel, stand for significant periods of time, and move and lift up to 25 pounds.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures; skill in the use of standard office equipment and software; and experience with deadline driven tasks.
