The Assistant Director of Enforcement will report to the Director of Enforcement and will assist the Director of Enforcement by managing the day-to-day operations of the Dallas Office of the Enforcement Division.  Job duties include supervising investigations of suspect violations of The Securities Act and legal actions brought to enforce The Securities Act; analyzing complex transactions and financial records; researching applicable legal issues; participating in criminal, civil and administrative proceedings; developing, recommending and implementing procedures to efficiently complete work assigned to the Dallas Office of the Enforcement Division; and training and supervising administrative assistants, attorneys and financial examiners assigned to the Dallas Office of the Enforcement Division.  The Director of Enforcement may assign other job duties as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (License, Education, Experience):

Graduation of accredited law school with J.D. Degree and licensed to practice law in Texas.  Substantial experience in analysis and investigation of complex business transactions and participation in administrative civil or criminal proceedings.


Ability to effectively manage a large workload, deadlines and manage personnel.  Thorough understanding of The Securities Act, the Rules and Regulations of the Texas State Securities Board, and the Texas Rules of Evidence.  Familiarity with the Texas Penal Code and Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
